Abstract

The article is devoted to one of the urgent problems of modern vocational education – the effective formation of the economic culture of future technicians in transport technologies and transportation management in road transport. The relevance of this problem is due to the fact that economic culture is a key component of the professional competence of technicians, directly influencing their ability to make informed and effective decisions, rational and responsible attitude to material, financial and time resources, as well as their orientation to achieving high performance and implementing innovations in the dynamic and competitive field of road transport. At the same time, the analysis of modern educational practice reveals a significant contradiction: on the one hand, there is an acute need in the labor market for specialists in the transport industry with a high level of economic awareness and culture, and on the other – the existing system of vocational education is not always able to ensure the proper level of formation of these qualities. This, in turn, necessitates a deep pedagogical rethinking and modernization of relevant educational technologies, the search for new approaches to organizing the educational process, which would contribute not only to the assimilation of theoretical knowledge, but also to the development of practical skills of economically expedient behavior. The main attention is focused on the theoretical and methodological principles of the development and practical implementation of a comprehensive system of educational technologies aimed at the formation of economic culture in future specialists in the conditions of vocational education institutions. The features of designing such a system are highlighted, which provides for a modular structure and integration of traditional and innovative teaching methods, in particular, practice-oriented tasks, project activities, case methods, digital tools, as well as the active involvement of students in the analysis of real economic situations in the field of transportation. An important aspect is taking into account the features of the development of students’ strategic, entrepreneurial and analytical thinking, which is an integral part of their economic preparedness.
