Abstract
The researchers of the Department of Geography and Economics Teaching of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine presented in the article the results of scientific and pedagogical research carried out within the framework of the planned work by state registration number 0124U000275, in which they substantiate the effective use of the activity approach in preparing students of general secondary education institutions for the challenges of the present and the future. The implementation of the ideas and content of the New Ukrainian School occurs through the formation of key and subject competencies in students. In accordance with the Concept of Teaching Geography in Basic School (2018), developed by the same authors, various types of students' educational activities are analysed, in particular, research/modelling (research projects), work with information, establishing connections and patterns, practical work, educational projects (informational, practically oriented (applied), creative, educational excursion, etc.). Since unforeseen cases of using digital resources arose during the study, the study was reformatted through the prism of using these resources in various types of educational activities during the study of geography in basic school and presented in diagrams and tables.
