Abstract

Over the past decade, a new approach to the scientific process has been taking shape in the scientific community - Open Science, which is "based on collaboration and new ways of disseminating knowledge using digital technologies and tools". This approach assumes openness at all stages of the scientific process - from the development of methodology to the publication of results and the availability of primary data. Among the advantages of implementing a new scientific approach are: increasing the efficiency of science by reducing duplication and costs of creating, transferring and reusing data; increasing transparency and quality in the process of confirming the reliability of research results; accelerated knowledge transfer; increasing the impact of research results on the economy and accelerating the search for answers to global challenges; promoting the involvement of citizens in research, active participation in scientific experiments and data collection. The values ​​on which open science is based are consistent with the principles of research integrity – honesty, responsibility, transparency, fairness, and respect for research participants.
