Abstract
The article examines the principles of developing teachers' professional competence in the context of artificial intelligence integration into the educational process. It is substantiated that pedagogical principles serve as guiding ideas and normative requirements for shaping the content of professional development and organizing the educational process. Methodological approaches (systematic, activity-based, person-centered, axiological, competence-based, environmental, synergetic, technological) that determine the process of scientific inquiry in the field of teacher professional development are analyzed. The principles of scientificity, theory-practice connection, activity and consciousness, systematicity and consistency, accessibility, visibility, and continuity of professional development are characterized in detail within the context of AI tools application. Rules for implementing each principle in the educational process, considering the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence, are formulated. It is proven that adherence to these principles, combined with ethical norms, ensures effective, safe, and value-based development of teacher competence in the era of digital transformation.
