Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of socio-psychological aspects of partnership interaction as a prerequisite for the democratization of education. It is noted that the democratization of the New Ukrainian School is not only a task to be implemented or a theoretical-methodological model, a socio-psychological principle, but also a personal value and a practical tool for shaping a new generation of conscious citizens capable of acting in an open, free, democratic society. The scholarly contributions of both national and international researchers to the conceptualization of “partnership interaction” as a socio-psychological condition for the democratization of education have been systematically analyzed. Partnership interaction is considered as a democratic way of cooperation among all participants in the educational process, based on respect for the individual, trust, distributed leadership, and shared responsibility for the outcomes of interaction. The main characteristics of partnership interaction are revealed: dialogical interaction, mutual respect, shared responsibility, psychological safety, support, and motivation. In order to ensure the effective implementation of democratic principles in education through the creation of favorable socio-psychological conditions for the comprehensive development of the individual and the establishment of partnership relations, a model for implementing partnership interaction as a socio-psychological prerequisite for the democratization of education is presented. The main components of the proposed model are identified: value-semantic, communicative-regulatory, emotional-perceptual, organizational-developing, and diagnostic-analytical. The criteria for assessing partnership interaction have been delineated as follows: the degree of subjectivity of participants in the educational process; the capacity of the actors involved to articulate and defend their own viewpoints; the effectiveness of interpersonal interaction; the level of socio-psychological well-being; the openness and accessibility of the educational environment, and the extent of participants’ involvement in decision-making processes.
