Abstract

The Regulation on the implementation of the right to free choice of academic disciplines by higher education applicants of the BINPO regulates the procedure for ensuring the right of higher education applicants to free choice of academic disciplines in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" and the "Regulations on the Organization of the Educational Process in BINPO". The Regulation formalizes the procedures: formation of catalogs of selective academic disciplines and bringing them to higher education applicants of the second (master's) level of higher education; selection by applicants of academic disciplines from the Catalog in order to meet the educational and qualification needs of applicants, increase their competitiveness and demand in the labor market, effectively use the Institute's capabilities, take into account regional needs, interests of stakeholders, etc. The results of the applicant's choice of academic disciplines are indicated in the individual curriculum. The definition of elective subjects of the individual curriculum should comply with the principles of alternativeness, competition, academic responsibility, and student-centeredness. The content of elective subjects should take into account the requirements for relevance, scientific content, and practical orientation.
