Abstract

The article theoretically substantiates the key role of digitalization of the management activities of the modern head of a general secondary education institution (GSEI) as an inevitable process and a strategic factor in increasing transparency, efficiency of the educational process and quality of educational services. According to the Concept of the New Ukrainian School (NUS) and European standards, the management of GSEI requires a transition to the paradigm of digital leadership, where ICT is a strategic basis for decision-making, and not just an auxiliary tool. The relevance of the study is due to the urgent need to optimize administrative, financial and personnel processes through the systematic use of specialized software complexes, as well as the need to transition from routine control to data analysis (Data-Driven Decision Making) and strategic planning, which directly affects the quality of educational services. The positions of leading Ukrainian scientists (V. Yu. Bykov, O. M. Spirin, O. P. Pinchuk, Ya. G. Gritsai, V. Dzyuba, O. I. Zasimovich) are analyzed, who confirm that digital competence is key to the professional development of a manager, but emphasize the need to develop curricula focused specifically on the specific managerial needs of school principals. Researchers indicate that digital competence is defined as a combination of technical competence, the ability to critically evaluate technologies, and motivation to work in a digital culture. A scientific gap is identified: despite the general recognition of the importance of digital competences, there is no clear structured competency model that would directly link functional areas of management activity with the use of key national digital platforms ("Yedyna shkola", "Human", "Mriya", AIKOM-1/2, Prozorro, PFU portal). The conclusions confirm that the developed level model contributes to the construction of continuous professional development of the school principal, ensuring the unity of self-assessment, learning and assessment of performance results in the context of the transformation of modern Ukrainian education.
