Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of prospects for promoting psychohygienic practices among participants in the educational process under conditions of increasing ecological and epidemic threats to human health. It is shown that psychohygienic practices serve as an effective mechanism for maintaining mental health. Contemporary theoretical approaches to defining the essence of psychohygiene as an interdisciplinary field integrating psychological, pedagogical, and medico-hygienic aspects of mental health preservation are analyzed. The historical prerequisites for the development of psychohygiene in Ukrainian and global psychology are outlined. The development of psychohygiene in Ukraine, including educational psychohygiene. The main areas of psychohygiene are defined, including personal, age-related, occupational, educational, family, and sports-related aspects. The relevance of psychohygienic practices during wartime is emphasized, particularly in the context of implementing the National Program for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support. The author’s theoretical model of psychohygienic practices, consisting of basic (physical and mental) and derivative (informational, communicative, and recreational) components, is presented. Regular application of these practices is shown to promote self-regulation skills, increase resilience, and foster a culture of self-care and self-support. Studies of psychohygiene in higher education, are characterized. The necessity of a systematic approach to promoting psychohygienic practices in educational institutions, integrating psychological education, support, and guidance for teachers, parents, students. Prospects for further research are outlined, in particular regarding improving the promotion of psychohygiene practices.
