The rise of information and communication technologies (ICT) and modern software development management techniques has prompted Ukrainian IT companies to consider adopting global practices in non-formal education. To maintain their competitive edge, these companies are focusing on enhancing their employees’ IT project management skills while minimising disruption to their work schedules. IT project management’s unique challenges require managers to develop competencies in team leadership. The success of IT organisations largely depends on how effectively managers guide, nurture, inspire, involve, and foster collaboration among their staff. This research explored the potential of using ICT project management tools in the non-formal education of IT professionals. The author’s course, ‘ICT Project Management,’ details the applications of various tools: Microsoft Teams for collaboration, Microsoft Projects for planning, Microsoft 365 for documentation, Mural for online teamwork, Azure DevOps for task creation and monitoring in software development, and Mentimeter for interactive presentations. IT professionals can develop comprehensive project management skills using these ICT tools by participating in this course within their informal education process.
