Abstract

The article deals with the problems of forming career orientations, ideas about professional and career success based on personal values, the discrepancy between the ideal and real image of the profession, the rejection of market values of professional success, the gap between the real and ideal motivation for professional self-development, the inadequacy of self-assessment of one’s own abilities. It is concluded that the reason for this is the insufficient coherence of the processes of professional and career orientation.
