Abstract
The article substantiates the methodological principles of developing effective educational cases aimed at enhancing the professional competence of vocational college teachers in the context of the transformation of Ukraine’s system of professional pre-tertiary education. It demonstrates that the case-study method serves as an important tool for integrating theoretical knowledge into practical activities, fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, professional reflection, and teacher adaptability. Based on an analysis of contemporary scholarly sources, the study highlights the role of case-based learning in strengthening teachers’ professional mobility, particularly under pandemic, wartime, and post-war conditions. The key stages of case development are identified, including defining learning objectives, collecting factual material, formulating the core problem, creating analytical questions, and designing assessment criteria. The article emphasizes that creating an educational case is a holistic methodological process that enables the modelling of real pedagogical situations and enhances the effectiveness of teachers’ professional training.
