Abstract

The text reveals the features of the formation of auditory skills of primary school students in different periods of literacy training. The role of auditory perception and understanding of oral speech as an important component of the speech development of younger schoolchildren is characterized. The specifics of the development of listening at the pre-primary, elementary and post-primary stages of education are analyzed, typical difficulties that arise in the process of forming auditory skills are outlined. Attention is focused on pedagogical conditions and methodological techniques that ensure the gradual, systematic and effective development of the skills of listening and understanding speech in the educational process of primary school.
