Abstract

The need for effective methodological features for the effective implementation of the formation of environmental competence of future nurses in professional colleges is substantiated. It is emphasized that this competence should not only form relevant knowledge, skills and abilities of applicants for professional pre-higher education, but also educate relevant values that will contribute to the development of careful attitude towards the environment in the context of health care. It is proven that environmental competence is complex phenomenon that includes personal and professional aspects of the development of future nurse, and is of great importance for the sustainable development of society, and therefore demonstrates the need for further work to improve the system of environmental competence of future nurses to ensure their effective professional training and readiness for the challenges of modernity.
