Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of formation of ecological competence in the basic physics course, determines the theoretical foundations and practical mechanisms of its implementation. It was found that the set of key competencies that should be formed in the process of teaching physics includes ecological - knowledge of the physical parameters of the environment and their impact on humans, physiological characteristics and capabilities of the human body, methods of studying the existing state and securing the external environment, the ability to assess the ecological situation, the desire for harmony with nature, the presence of experience in the field of ecology and health preservation. Ecological competence is the basis for the formation of the appropriate consciousness, culture and behavior of the individual, which involves the acquisition of knowledge about nature, a responsible attitude to the environment and the development of skills for harmonious interaction with it. The main goal of the studied process is to cultivate a rational attitude towards nature, awareness of its value, as well as readiness for actions aimed at preserving and improving the ecological state of the planet for a sustainable future. The formation of students' ecological competence in the learning process is carried out on the basis of the principles of fundamentalization of physical knowledge, individual and social significance of educational material, its practical focus on the development of individual independence. The main components of the corresponding educational and cognitive activity are conducting a comprehensive pedagogical diagnosis, formulating the goals of teaching the basic physics course, selecting the content of the subject material and identifying optimal forms of learning, assessing the level of formation of the components of ecological competence, adjusting and further designing the educational process.
