Abstract

The article examines the essence, structure, and directions of development of the methodological competence of teaching staff in institutions of of professional pre-higher education. The approaches of Ukrainian scholars to defining the concept of «methodological competence» are analyzed, and its main components are highlighted. The paper reveals the ways of improving teachers’ methodological competence through continuous professional learning, participation in methodological associations, collective activities, reflection and self-analysis, the use of innovative technologies, and systematic planning of methodological work.
