Abstract

The chemistry curriculum for grades 7–9 of secondary education institutions complies with the Law of Ukraine “On Complete Secondary Education” dated January 16, 2020 No. 463-IX, the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 30, 2020 No. 898 (hereinafter referred to as the State Standard), the Model Educational Program for Grades 5–9 of Secondary Education Institutions, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated February 19, 2021 No. 235, the model program “Chemistry, Grades 7–9 for Secondary Education Institutions” (author: O. V. Grigorovich), recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated December 27, 2023 No. 1575. The basis for compiling the curriculum “Chemistry. 7–9 grades” consist of: – provisions of the Concept of the National Secondary School; – value orientations, key and subject competencies, cross-cutting skills, chemical component of basic knowledge, defined by the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education; – instructional and methodological recommendations for authors of model curricula / training programs for subjects / integrated courses “Developing a model curriculum / training program”.
