Abstract

Among many scientists, there is an opinion that socialization is closely related to adaptation - the adaptation of organisms to the environment. They interpret socialization as the continuous adaptation of a living organism to the environment, as its ability to adapt to the reactions of other people. Accordingly, the need for man and society is growing not only to understand the laws of development of the external, objective world, but also to know themselves, their own resources and capabilities, as well as those "nooks" of the individual and collective soul, the ignorance of which can pose potential risks and threats both to the safety of the life of people themselves and to the world in which they live. The need for self-knowledge, and therefore self-improvement, is especially urgent in societies, including modern Ukrainian ones, which are going through the so-called transitional period: they are saying goodbye to their totalitarian past, changing their established way of life and system of values, and striving to reach the level of the latest civilizational achievements in a historically short period of time.
