Abstract

It is noted that cognitive mechanisms are dynamic and plastic, enriched by directed cognitively stimulating actions of the individual throughout life. Enrichment of the cognitive reserve of the individual leads to such beneficial processes as increased motivation to learn, establishment of good relationships with teachers, reduction of problem behavior and the ability to learn more proactively and reflectively. For participants in the educational process, cognitive stability is the key to safe behavior in an ecological context, which is supported by the regulation of thoughts and actions, cognitive control, choice and successful monitoring of actions to achieve goals.
