Abstract

The textbook is intended for students and teachers of higher education institutions who study educational systems for people with special educational needs (SEN). The publication reveals the main aspects of the analysis and comparative study of education systems for this category of people at the international and national levels. The textbook covers theoretical foundations, methods of analysis, and features of education for people with SEN in different countries and in Ukraine. The textbook pays significant attention to methods of analysis, including quantitative and qualitative research methods, comparative analysis of educational systems, and the use of information technologies in research. A feature of the textbook is the developed author's analytical model, which covers three interrelated dimensions: contextual, structural, and performance. This model allows for in-depth study of educational systems through various geographical, geopolitical, cultural, political, and economic contexts. The handbook also examines key sociocultural, political and economic factors that influence the development of education systems for people with disabilities. In addition, specific examples and recommendations for improving inclusive education are provided. This handbook is an important resource for researchers, education professionals and policymakers involved in improving education systems for people with disabilities, as well as for anyone seeking to better understand international experiences and national specificities in this important area.
