Abstract
The article presents the concept and methodology for diagnosing the functional state of psychological resources of gifted persons in wartime. The basis of the concept is formed by the following ideas: monitoring the functional state of psychological resources of citizens of a country, including gifted people, against which a total military long-term aggression is carried out, is an integral form of systemic counteraction to the enemy, preservation of the ability to resist and fight, including psychological; monitoring the functional state of psychological resources of citizens should be carried out taking into account the psychological dimensions and characteristics of war as a specific event of extra ordinary power of influence; from the standpoint of essential characteristics, war is a form of collective aggression aimed at achieving the effect of skilled degrees of destruction of the integrity of systems of physical, biological and psychological organized and holistic constructs that form a natural organic context, which in the unity of environmental and individual integrity constructs constitute the integrity of the continuum of the process, which is nominated by the concept of life; the destruction of environmental and individual integrity constructs (incompatible with life traumas, bodily injuries, violation of the integrity of psycho logical constructs, emergence of reflections of severe destructive events, etc.) is regarded by him as a threat to life of a high and ultra-high degree and/or as a life catastrophe; war as a stressful event for society and an individual causes psycho-traumatic damage to such a category of citizens as gifted children, adolescents and adults; psycho-traumatic changes that occur in the process of experiencing the stress of war affect the qualitative characteristics and dynamics of the manifestation, development and implementation of the abilities of gifted individuals; gifted individuals, like all other people, within the continuum of adaptive and non-adaptive responses to severe life-threatening circumstances, generate the following four main types of reactions: defensive reactions, compensatory reactions, reconstructive reactions, and perfectionistic reactions; reactions to traumatic events of war create such specific psychological situations of giftedness development as blocking, inhibition, simultaneous traumatic growth, and posttraumatic growth; psycho logical situations of giftedness development caused by reactions to traumatic events of war may have correlations according to the algorithms of nonlinear communication models with symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and other disorders; diagnostic monitoring of the probable nature of symptoms, studying their impact on the functional state of psychological resources and the system of abilities of gifted people is important both for preserving and restoring their health and creating the necessary external and internal conditions for preserving and restoring their giftedness potential. The diagnostics of the functioning of gifted persons in war conditions and the functional state of their psychological resources is aimed at identifying the peculiarities of changes experienced by gifted individuals as a result of the impact of war conditions and events on them. The developed methodology for diagnosing the functioning of gifted individuals in war conditions makes it possible to obtain comprehensive information about both the general psychological state of gifted individuals in the context of the impact of military stress on them and functional changes in the field of their abilities and giftedness.
