Abstract

The article examines the integration of foreign methodologies for developing creative thinking in Ukrainian education, analyzing both theoretical foundations and practical approaches to fostering creativity in students. Key sections include theoretical models of creativity development such as the Torrance Model (fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration), the Amabile Model (intrinsic motivation, professional knowledge, creative environment), and the three-component model (cognitive, personal, motivational factors). Practical methods for creative thinking development involve the brainstorming technique, the Six Thinking Hats method by Edward de Bono, and the Design Thinking approach popularized by Tim Brown. Innovative learning models include game-based methodologies for early childhood, digital virtual classrooms (VCLE) with gamification elements, STEAM education integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, and project-based learning approaches. Creating a creative educational environment requires a psychological climate supporting initiative and experimentation, material resources and flexible learning spaces, and methodological support for teachers. Implementation strategies for Ukrainian education emphasize curriculum updates highlighting creativity as a key competency, professional development for teachers, and resource provision including creative spaces and materials. The article concludes that developing creative thinking is a strategic priority for modern Ukrainian education. By adapting foreign methodologies to the Ukrainian context, the education system can foster a generation of creative, initiative-taking individuals capable of addressing contemporary challenges, requiring a comprehensive approach involving curriculum updates, teacher training, and appropriate resource allocation.
