Abstract

The article highlights the foreign experience of preparing schoolchildren for the choice of working professions. In the EU countries, there are several approaches to preparing schoolchildren for the choice of working professions, in particular, through the means of professional orientation and career counseling, which, as a rule, involve the student's prior familiarization with the world of professions and the implementation of practical tests for some of them. Information and communication technologies are also widely used for the purpose of familiarization with the relevant professions, professional consulting work, electronic portfolio management, etc.
