Abstract

This article examines the modernization of the content of psychological and pedagogical disciplines in higher education institutions within the framework of implementing personality-oriented teaching. This approach is regarded as a strategic means of humanizing education and fostering the development of key competencies, self-reflection, and adaptability among students. The article highlights both general and professional competencies of a psychological and pedagogical nature, which are critical for the development of human potential and professional activities across various fields. It substantiates the necessity for interdisciplinary integration of the psychological and pedagogical components, ensuring continuity across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, as well as for enhancing the qualifications of professional discipline instructors. The practical recommendations and conclusions presented are aimed at informing educational policy updates and improving the professional training of specialists in higher education institutions.
