Abstract
The article is devoted to developing recommendations for enhancing the professional competence of academic staff at pedagogical higher education institutions through the use of non-formal and informal education resources. An algorithm for organizing the professional development of lecturers at pedagogical HEIs has been developed, which involves diagnostics, the formation of an individual trajectory, self-education, and the documentation of results. The principles of andragogy (priority of autonomy, reliance on experience, contextuality) are substantiated as the basis for flexible programs. Recommendations regarding the use of online platforms, professional communities, and reflection on one's own experience are outlined. Emphasis is placed on the importance of institutional support from HEIs through mechanisms for the validation and recognition of non-formal education results for the attestation and career advancement of academic staff at pedagogical higher education institutions.
