Abstract
In the Swiss vocational education and training system, employers play a leading, system-building role. This model, based on the principle of social partnership, delegates authority to professional associations to develop and update standards and qualification requirements. They determine the competencies required by the labor market and incorporate them into curricula, ensuring maximum relevance of vocational education and training.
