Abstract
Relevance. In the conditions of a full-scale war caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian education system is experiencing complex transformations that directly affect the process of training future specialists for the economy of recovery and sustainable development. There is a growing need for education seekers capable of critical thinking, independent decision-making, rapid adaptation to new conditions and effective activity in conditions of uncertainty. In this context, the use of educational strategies that not only meet the requirements of Industry 4.0, but also contribute to the development of cognitive initiative becomes important. One of such strategies is problem-based learning, focused on setting tasks that require search, analysis and generalization, and thereby stimulate the activity, independence and responsibility of students of professional pre-higher education. Purpose. To study problem-based learning as a strategy for stimulating the cognitive initiative of students of professional pre-higher education in the process of professional training, taking into account the challenges of digital transformation and war and post-war conditions. Methods. Theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical sources, generalization of modern educational practice, comparison method, systematization of the results of the application of problem-based learning in institutions of professional pre-higher education. Results. It was established that the implementation of problem-based learning increases motivation for learning, develops reflective and critical thinking, forms the ability of students to independently solve educational and production tasks. The structural components of problem-based learning are identified and the conditions for its effective implementation in the professional training of new generation specialists are determined. Conclusions. Problem-based learning is an effective strategy for activating the cognitive initiative of students, ensuring the formation of competitive, flexible and critically thinking specialists. Its application in professional pre-higher education contributes to the preparation of young people for effective professional activity in the conditions of Industry 4.0 and participation in the processes of restoration and modernization of the country during the period of war and post-war transformations.
