Abstract
The author highlights the results of self-assessment of the state of readiness of teachers of higher education institutions to improve the teaching of psychological and pedagogical disciplines at the theoretical and analytical stage of the study. The data obtained serve as the basis for the development of targeted advanced training programs aimed at further developing all components of teachers' professional readiness for modern challenges in the field of psychological and pedagogical education, and the implementation of scientific and methodological support.
