Abstract
The theses examine reference publications as an essential educational resource for the didactics of multilingualism in the context of martial law in Ukraine. The author highlights the increasing social significance of multilingual and intercultural competence due to the large-scale displacement of Ukrainian citizens and students’ integration into new linguistic and cultural environments. The paper presents the results of theoretical research on the formation of multilingual communicative competence, including linguistic, sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic factors, as well as an analysis of effective practices in non-formal education (in particular, the “Language Festival”). Special attention is paid to the role of terminological dictionaries and phrasebooks as effective technological tools in multilingual education. The author describes a newly developed set of bilingual reference editions (Ukrainian – Hebrew), comprising a dictionary of linguistic terms and a phrasebook aimed at facilitating successful communication. The practical significance of these materials lies in fostering interculturality, supporting the Ukrainian language, enabling the acquisition and teaching of Hebrew, and facilitating linguistic interaction in unfamiliar cultural contexts. This reference set can be used by teachers, educators, textbook authors, translators, students, and all those engaged in multilingual education and may serve as a model for the development of similar bilingual or multilingual reference resources.
