Abstract
The theses reveal the management of educational and cognitive activities of primary school students as a strategic vector of the competency approach. The effectiveness of such management depends on the methods of work, the level of complexity of tasks and the quality of feedback, which requires a transition from reproductive practices to the development of independent thinking. It is based on a system of key principles and is implemented through five interconnected levels: motivational, cognitive-semantic, procedural-operational, social-communicative and evaluative-reflective.
