Abstract
The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) by teachers in Ukraine and abroad is considered. Strategic European and domestic documents on the use of AI in education are presented. A review of the recommendation documents of international organizations, in particular UNESCO, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, etc. is carried out. An analysis of research on the use of AI in educational institutions is carried out. Educational programs on the use of AI are described. The results of teacher surveys, in which 26,227 respondents participated, are presented. The novelty of the study lies in the comprehensive analysis of the principles and practical solutions developed by the international community and domestic educators for the use of AI by teachers in order to improve their pedagogical technologies and professional development. The methods used are: analysis of regulatory documents, standards and EU recommendation documents on the use of AI in education, teacher surveys, quantitative and qualitative methods of data processing, systematization and generalization, comparative analysis of Ukrainian and foreign experience.
