Abstract
Introduction. In modern organizations, acceptance of one's own role in a team is a key factor in effective interaction to achieve a common goal. It improves the distribution of responsibilities, reduces conflicts and increases productivity, while incomplete or conflict role acceptance leads to stress, poor work productivity, and work dissatisfaction. There is a lack of psychological tools to assess the employees' team role acceptance of a team role are extremely insufficient, especially in the Ukrainian language. The aim of the study is to develop an instrument to assess employees' level of team role acceptance, which would reflect three levels of intragroup interaction (a group member, a team member, and a role performer). Methods: a preliminary version of the author's Team Role Acceptance questionnaire (A. Savchenko), a questionnaire for collecting data concerning employees' demographic and teamwork experience, as well as mathematical and statistical methods and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Results. The revised Team Role Acceptance questionnaire allows measuring indicators of employees' team role acceptance. The data obtained on a sample of students (N=276) showed the questionnaire's effectiveness. The questionnaire had a distinct three-level structure, with each level having three factors that corresponded to different aspects of team interaction. Conclusions. The proposed instrument for psychological assessment of team role acceptance demonstrated the instrument's clear structure, satisfactory indicators of adherence to the theoretical model, and sufficient reliability and consistency on a sample of students. Three levels of team role acceptance were identified (1) a group member, 2) a team member, and 3) a role performer correspond to the stages of socio-psychological adaptation to group interaction (group identification - internalization of norms and rules - role differentiation).
