Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of professional-role activity of a lecturer in a professional pre-higher education institution and its influence on the formation of the psychological climate of the pedagogical staff. It is emphasized that the effectiveness of lecturers' role functions directly depends on the quality of the psychological climate prevailing in the academic environment. The formation of a positive socio-psychological climate is an important prerequisite for optimizing internal communication and increasing the overall effectiveness of pedagogical activity. It is explored that role conflict or a conflict of expectations can be a source of tension that destructively affects the emotional and psychological state of educators. A positive psychological climate correlates with a high level of work productivity, satisfaction with professional activity, readiness for innovative activity, and effective implementation of management decisions. The four main approaches to understanding psychological climate in domestic psychology are examined: as a socio-psychological phenomenon, an emotional-psychological mood, a set of interaction styles, and an indicator of social/psychological compatibility. It is highlighted that the psychological climate is not just a background, but a leading factor influencing the effectiveness of lecturers' fulfillment of their professional-role duties.
