Abstract

The article highlights the conceptual foundations for developing methods to implement promising models of specialized science-oriented education with a technical and technological focus in general secondary and extracurricular educational institutions. It is determined that the integration of disciplines and the research-based approach are key principles that enhance the efficiency of learning. The main methodological, practical, and innovative aspects of implementing such models are revealed. The author emphasizes the necessity of integrating STEM education as an essential element in preparing students to meet the challenges of the modern technological world. The article also describes the significance of the research-based approach, which fosters critical thinking, independence, responsibility, and the creative abilities of students. It is concluded that STEM education contributes to preparing future professionals capable of developing innovative solutions and influencing the growth of knowledge-intensive industries. Significant attention is paid to analyzing the challenges and prospects of implementing specialized education. Specifically, the issues of resource provision, the qualifications of teaching staff, and the adaptation of the traditional education system to new conditions are addressed. Despite existing challenges, the prospects of such models include shaping a new generation of professionals prepared for the digital era, deepening collaboration between education, science, and industry, and advancing the knowledge economy. The conclusions confirm that interdisciplinary approaches, the combination of theoretical knowledge with practical skills, and research-based activities are the core components ensuring the effectiveness of specialized education. The proposed methods and principles of organizing the educational process serve as innovative tools for advancing the modern educational environment.
