Abstract

The article highlights national-patriotic education in higher education institutions in Ukraine from 1991 to 2004; it is shown that it is an important factor in the formation of the national identity of future teachers and their civic consciousness, which, in turn, affects the quality of patriotic education of subsequent generations of Ukrainians.
