Abstract

This review examines sources that highlight the role and significance of scientific and methodological support for psychological assistance during Ukraine's wartime and post-war periods. Textbooks and teaching aids on extreme psychology are analysed as an important resource for training specialists to work with different categories of the population affected by military action. The importance of educational and methodological materials in the formation of the professional competence of psychologists, who must be able to effectively carry out psychoprophylactic, consultative and rehabilitation activities in extreme conditions, is emphasised. Attention is focused on the need to develop modern training programmes adapted to the specifics of Ukrainian society and to integrate international experience in the field of extreme and crisis psychology.
