Abstract

The article describes the state of juvenile delinquency in 2009. It is noted that despite a slight decrease in the indicators of juvenile delinquency in Ukraine, society is deeply concerned about the state of delinquency and crime among minors and its qualitative changes. The most significant trends in the field of international law regarding juvenile offenders are highlighted. An important aspect of the study is the coverage of the work of social rehabilitation institutions, including the psychological service of these institutions. The key principles of resocialization of children who have found themselves in conflict with the law, which were jointly developed by Ukrainian and Dutch experts in the fields of pedagogy, psychology, jurisprudence; social work, are described.
