Abstract
The article examines the digitalization of the educational environment in vocational education institutions in the context of implementing STEM education. It is demonstrated that the digital environment extends beyond technical infrastructure and entails the transformation of curricula, teaching methods, and instructional formats. The role of the STEM approach is substantiated as a factor in fostering engineering thinking, analytical skills, and interdisciplinary integration. Examples are provided of integrating digital tools into the training of students in various professions (including culinary arts), which ensures practice-oriented learning and the modeling of professional situations. The main directions for introducing a digital STEM environment are outlined: the development of virtual laboratories and simulations, the adoption of the BYOD model, the design of digital cases, and the formation of a holistic institutional ecosystem. It is concluded that the effectiveness of digitalization depends on the integration of STEM components into the content and logic of the educational process, which ensures the quality of training and graduates’ readiness for the innovative economy.
