Abstract

The theses consider the information support for the formation of national-patriotic competence of education seekers in the conditions of ongoing Russian aggression, which confirmed the critical importance of patriotic education for national security. It is noted that patriotism is a deep civic feeling that should be formed not only at school, but also in higher education institutions as an organic part of professional training. The effectiveness of this process is determined by systematic information support based on national cultural values, language and traditions. Effective forms of educational work (discussions, storytelling) are analyzed and the role of the V. O. Sukhomlynsky State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine in providing access to relevant information resources is emphasized. National-patriotic competence is defined as an integrated quality of a person that requires constant educational influence.
