Abstract
In fact, each region of Ukraine has and will have its own specifics after the end of the war. In general, I can argue that the debates around the nature of regionalism in Ukraine in many contexts are oriented towards the future. During the war, socio-cultural problems, if they do not disappear, are not of primary importance. The main goal now is to preserve Ukraine as a sovereign state. That is, social monitoring is carried out and scientific forecasts are focused on the possible impact of differences/contradictions between regions in Ukraine, on the dynamics of social and political changes in the country. In addition, it is obvious that researchers do not pay enough attention to the ethno-national and ethno-political factor in regional issues. It is this problem that I will try to highlight in the proposed research. It is obvious that the causes and driving forces of intra-state regional processes are not fully understood, no generalizations have been made that would allow forming the foundations of state regional policy and methods and mechanisms for its implementation. The ritual slogan that regional policy should be adequate to the real processes taking place both in the regions and throughout Ukraine does not say anything. In addition, the recently adopted Law of Ukraine “On the Principles of State Regional Policy” practically does not contain ethno-national, ethno-political components. It should be taken into account that the level of political consciousness in different regions varies significantly, and ethno-national policy cannot be completely unified, it must take into account the ethno-national characteristics of the regions. It is also impossible to underestimate the role of regional elites in the difference in political orientations of the regions, which did little to contribute to integration processes. There was and continues to be a real danger of regional policy becoming a “hostage” of political confrontation, where the ethno-national factor is seen in an ethnocratic interpretation. Instead, the regional-ethnic, local-ethnic spheres are directly related to the problems of ethno-national unity and civil community as a modern dilemma of ethnic minorities, the antinomy of "ethnic community" and "civil society". Therefore, the analysis of the ethno-national component of Ukraine's regional policy is extremely important, especially after the end of the war.
