Abstract
The article states that regardless of external conditions, education seekers in modern conditions must effectively manage their own career development, which is due to the needs of the labor market for qualified specialists who are able to actively participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is: To highlight the features of the career and professional development of education seekers in war conditions and to outline the areas of psychological and pedagogical support for career development. To implement the purpose of the article, an analysis of recent research on the outlined topic was carried out, the essence of career and professional development was revealed. It was determined that education seekers (high school students, students) are at the stage of career development, when there is no direct integration into the profession yet, but there is a certain vision of the development of their own career, professional future, ways of professional self-expression, their career successes. According to the results of the developed and tested questionnaire "My Career", the features of the career and professional development of fourth-year students are described. It is generalized that in general, 36% of respondents have a clear idea of their own career trajectory. At the same time, the lack of formation or partial formation of the professional plan is observed in 75% of respondents. The vast majority of respondents noted that individual career guidance support at the university is practically absent, students have to independently search for career guidance information on the Internet, there is a lack of mentoring and communication with professionals. It is concluded that during the period of martial law, which is accompanied by uncertainty, destruction of ordinary life, change in value orientations, students need career guidance support in the form of career guidance support. The content of career guidance support should be aimed at supporting the individual in their professional development, activating the processes of self-knowledge and self-development, forming career skills and abilities, passing professional tests, and interacting with professionals. It is emphasized that one of the career skills is the ability to build and timely adjust a professional plan.
