Abstract
The modern challenges facing Ukraine’s education system are driven both by global trends of digitalization and automation and by the consequences of military actions, which have necessitated a fundamental restructuring of the educational process. In the context of the country's recovery and modernization, technological education acquires strategic importance as a key factor in developing human capital capable of ensuring the innovative growth of the economy and the state’s competitiveness in the international arena. This article examines the systemic transformation of technological education in the digital economy and Industry 4.0. Special attention is given to the implementation of integrated educational models that combine academic knowledge with practical skills to adapt to rapid technological changes. The possibilities for modernizing the content of technological education through the introduction of the STEAM approach, the integration of digital technologies, the development of critical thinking, creative abilities, and project-based learning are analyzed. These measures will facilitate the training of highly qualified specialists in engineering, information technology, materials science, and robotics. The article outlines prospects for the implementation of dual education and interactive teaching methods, which will help prepare a new generation of professionals capable of effectively working in high-tech production environments, artificial intelligence systems, and automated management systems by gaining practical experience during their studies. The necessity of modernizing the material and technical infrastructure of educational institutions and employing adaptive learning technologies that consider individual educational trajectories is also discussed. The effectiveness of the cluster approach, which ensures interaction between educational institutions, research centers, and businesses to develop modern training programs tailored to real labor market needs, is demonstrated. The role of state policy in supporting technological education through funding scientific research, expanding academic mobility, and promoting interdisciplinary studies is identified. Thus, the systemic transformation of technological education is a crucial prerequisite for human capital development in Ukraine. Its implementation will contribute to improving the quality of professional training, fostering an innovation-driven culture, and strengthening the national economy’s competitiveness in a globalized world.
