Abstract
Various areas of educational services have emerged on the Ukrainian market that are focused on the strategy of sustainable development, addressing environmental, economic and social challenges. First of all, this is due to the Decree of the President of Ukraine ‘On the Sustainable Development Goals of Ukraine for the period up to 2030’ (2019), which emphasizes the support for the global sustainable development goals proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly resolution (2015), taking into account the specifics of Ukraine's development and set out in the National Report ‘Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine’ [1]. Sustainable development of society can be viewed as a continuous learning process, including the expansion of knowledge, the formation of special skills, life attitudes and values regarding a healthy lifestyle in harmony with nature. Ultimately, sustainability is a moral and ethical imperative that must take into account cultural diversity and traditional knowledge, and is largely implemented in society through the educational system. One of the main prerequisites for achieving sustainable development of society is science and education, which are also the most important tools for effective management, informed decision-making, and democracy. Sustainable development of society, in particular educational aspects, are shaped in all higher education institutions without exception, as they help to develop general approaches, methodology for teaching certain problems, and search for ways to solve them. It is thanks to educators and scientists that most of the scientific knowledge in this area is developed. It is here that the latest concepts and generalisations are formed and verified, and new knowledge is synthesised.
