Abstract
The author analyzes the features of corporate education and training of scientific and pedagogical workers within pedagogical institutions of higher education. It was found that there are special structural units in most pedagogical universities of Ukraine, on the basis of which corporate education programs and training of scientific and pedagogical workers are implemented. They all have one task: planning, organizing and implementing educational programs and projects in order to develop their employees and at the same time provide educational services to other categories of specialists, primarily teachers. It was found that the vast majority of structural units of pedagogical institutions of higher education have the keyword «center» in their names: Center for Continuing Education, Center for Teaching Excellence, Center for Postgraduate Education, Center for Professional Development, Center for Human Resource Development, Center for Adult Education, etc. Among others, there are also Institutes of Postgraduate Education, Educational and Scientific Institutes, Educational and Scientific Centers (HUBs). As a result of the analysis of the activities of these training centers, it was found that within the framework of program activities, scientific and methodological seminars and webinars, methodological trainings, master classes on the exchange of experience, workshops, pedagogical weekends, etc. In-service training programs for teachers of non-pedagogical higher education institutions are also to develop professional and pedagogical culture and pedagogical skills. So far, training in these centers is traditionally called advanced training. However, based on the goal and result of this training – the creation of a system of continuous advanced training of scientific and pedagogical workers; the organization of permanent scientific and methodological seminars for various categories of higher education employees; conducting scientific research in the field of higher and postgraduate education; the publication of scientific and methodological recommendations and manuals related to the improvement of the educational process in higher education institutions – this is actually called corporate education and training. However, this process cannot yet be considered systemic.
