Abstract
A theoretical analysis was conducted to clearly delineate the definitions of such constructs as “group” and “team”, and common (the presence of several participants, the distribution of roles, joint decision-making, interaction between participants, the achievement of common goals, etc.) and distinctive (higher level of organization, structuring and coherence of participants’ actions; coherence of a common goal with individual aspirations; limited duration of existence; clearly defined and formally prescribed goals, etc.) properties of a team as a separate type of group were identified. The results obtained will allow, at the subsequent stages of the study, to describe the group work of participants in board role-playing games at two independent levels, namely: 1) at the level of a social group; 2) at the level of teamwork.
