Social and psychological support of Ukrainians in Germany: results of the Ukrainian-German charity project

Abstract

The article presents the main results of the charity project "Social and psychological support of Ukrainians in Germany", created by the joint efforts of German and Ukrainian specialists to support for Ukrainians who are in Germany due to the war in Ukraine. The project was organised by the German organisation Malteser (PSU UKR 22), the G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (Laboratory of Organizational and Social Psychology) and the Ukrainian Association of Organizational and Labor Psychologists. The project was implemented from April 2022 to October 2024 in three stages: preparatory, stabilizing and development. Each stage included its specific forms and directions of work and had corresponding effective results. All project tasks were completed. The project has shown its effectiveness and high productivity. The concept of its activity can be extrapolated to other types and forms of psychological institutions to provide psychological assistance to the population in conditions of various types of social crises.
