Abstract

The integration processes in education in European Union countries at the level of preschool and school education systems have been studied. The main goals of such integration have been identified, which include: harmonisation of educational standards to ensure uniform approaches to the quality of preschool and primary education and coordination of curricula, taking into account the age and psychophysiological characteristics of children; a smooth transition, which involves the development of common approaches to the organisation of the preparatory period between preschool and school education and the creation of an environment that facilitates the child's adaptation to school; equal access to education to reduce social, economic and cultural barriers and integrate children with special educational needs and migrants into the general education process; ensuring the quality of education by improving the qualifications of teachers to work with children at different stages of education and using innovative teaching methods.
