Abstract
The article examines the current challenges facing educational science in the context of transformations in Ukrainian vocational education, caused by geopolitical, social and economic factors. The emphasis was on the need to rethink the role of pedagogical innovations not only as a result of scientific activity but as a tool for real impact on education, society and science. Approaches to assessing the effectiveness of scientific research through the prism of their impact are presented, following European practices. The mechanisms for introducing innovations into vocational education were analysed, including close interaction with educational institutions, development and testing of digital platforms, organization of advanced training of pedagogical workers and creation of methodological systems of professional development in vocational pre-higher education. The role of regional experiments as a tool for ensuring the impact of pedagogical innovations, taking into account industry and territorial specifics, is substantiated. The importance of educators’ participation in scientific and experimental activities, as well as the reorientation of fundamental research to the creation of new educational paradigms, was emphasized. Examples of successful implementation of pedagogical innovations that contribute to the digitalization of education, the development of youth entrepreneurship, increasing the self-sufficiency of specialists and improving blended learning were given. The article demonstrated the strategic approach of the Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to ensure the sustainable development of vocational education in the context of modern challenges.
