Abstract

The article discusses the process of modeling the formation of cross-cultural competence in future specialists in international relations. It emphasizes the importance of this process for the professional training of students in the context of globalization and the internationalization of education. The authors propose a pedagogical model consisting of several components, such as the target, content, organizational-technological, and reflective-analytical components, along with the expected outcomes of the model's implementation. The main goal is to develop students' ability to function effectively in a multicultural environment, which includes the development of knowledge, skills, values, and motivations aimed at intercultural interaction. The article outlines the importance of using interactive teaching methods, such as training, simulations, business games, and mobile internships, to develop practical skills and reflective thinking. It emphasizes the significance of the cultural, communicative, ethical, and professional-sector components of the content part of the model, which ensure a comprehensive approach to forming cross-cultural competence. The authors also highlight the necessity of implementing information and communication technologies to effectively organize intercultural dialogue. The application of the developed model in the educational process will allow for the integration of knowledge from various disciplines into a single system, fostering a deeper understanding of cultural differences and enhancing students' professional readiness to work in international relations. The introduction of innovative teaching approaches and the use of cutting-edge technologies will optimize the learning process and ensure a more effective integration of cross-cultural competence into the professional training of future specialists. The findings of the research may be useful for developing recommendations for improving student training programs in the field of international relations and implementing modern approaches to teaching in a globalized world. The article is of practical significance for the improvement of higher education programs and the preparation of highly qualified professionals capable of working effectively in an intercultural context.
