Abstract
The article is devoted to the implementation of project-based research activities as an effective tool for developing environmental competence in the context of modern education. The material discusses the key methods, approaches, and tools used to integrate environmental topics into project activities, and describes the stages of implementation of such projects that contribute to the development of environmental awareness and practical skills in students. One of the main aspects is the use of tools for collecting and analyzing environmental data, such as environmental mapping tools and devices for monitoring environmental quality. Integration of project management technologies, including collaboration platforms that ensure effective teamwork and organization of work processes, is also important. Additionally, the role of interactive tools such as environmental simulations, webinars, and online courses that provide knowledge, stimulate critical thinking, and search for innovative solutions to environmental problems is considered. Project activities involve the practical application of knowledge, emphasizing the development of skills in presenting results, disseminating information, and influencing public awareness. The use of representational platforms, as well as the creation of blogs and social networks to present the results, allows the dissemination of the knowledge gained among a wide audience, which is an important aspect in the current context of global environmental challenges. The final stage of project activities includes an assessment of the results and environmental impact using project sustainability methods, as well as self- assessment and reflection by participants. This approach allows to evaluate the effectiveness of the work performed, creates prerequisites for the further development of personal environmental competence, which is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of society in the context of modern environmental and social challenges. The article emphasizes the importance of applying an integrated approach to education, where project activities provide knowledge and develop the necessary competencies for students to work effectively in the face of global environmental challenges.
