Abstract
The article examines the complex challenges that veterans of military service face in their transition to civilian life, as well as readiness of Ukrainian society and the state to support them in this process. The main problems of veterans include psychological disorders, physical problems, material difficulties and misunderstanding on the part of society. The state provides various benefits and support to veterans, but many Ukrainians believe that these measures are insufficient. Important aspects of adaptation are material, medical, psychological, legal and informational support, as well as educational support, which plays an important role in the process of reintegration of veterans. The state’s readiness to adapt veterans is assessed as the lowest among all groups, which may be a consequence of insufficient transparency, bureaucratic barriers and dissatisfaction with the quality of the social program. At the same time, civilians demonstrate a high level of readiness to support veterans in the adaptation process. In general, its success requires a comprehensive approach, which includes the development of support programs, the establishment of a sense of community and the development of culturally appropriate social networks. It is important to take into account the specific needs and requirements of veterans in the system of continuing education, which will contribute to their successful integration into society and increase competitiveness in the labor market.
